What is T.E.C all about?
Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a whirlwind 3-day weekend retreat for high schoolers designed to allow students to Encounter Jesus Christ through worship, speakers, faith and team-building activities, games, music, great food and new friendships. Our prayer is that each student leaves TEC with a deeper understanding of Christ’s life, death, resurrection and His continuing mission on Earth through His Church. Central CA TEC is a non-denominational ministry serving the churches and students of the Central Valley.
We have a lot of fun at TEC. You just never know what is coming next! But everything we do is strategically designed with that ultimate purpose in mind-that each Teen would personally Encounter Christ through the weekend.

Day 1 our focus is primarily on Christ’s life and death on the cross and what this sacrifice means for each of us. Students can begin to explore and define their current understanding of who Jesus Christ is through speakers, small group discussion and powerful group activities.
Day 2 we celebrate that death could not hold Jesus in the grave and focus our attention on his Resurrection from death. Students will begin to explore what it means to live in light of the Resurrection. A large emphasis is placed on building a Christian Community and the need to surround ourselves with fellow believers who will help us to live lives that honor Jesus in all we do.
Day 3, students will be challenged to ask, “What Now?” As Jesus prepared to ascend into Heaven, he left his disciples with a mission – to continue to spread His message and His love throughout the world! Students will be challenged to do the same in their own circles of influence with family, school and neighborhood. Their experiences during the TEC weekend are only as good as what they can take home with them.
